There's a killer craft fair coming up! Killer like awesome, not the tomatoes. This event has signed some of St. Louis' most original vendors, so don't miss it.
This sweet treat's name is as original as its vendors: Not Your Grandma's Craft Fair was created by Jillian Pye of Jillian is in Love, she'll be featuring her items which include an array of handmade accessories... some of which you can view on her Etsy: A Little Slice of Pye.
What a darling headband on such a darling woman!
Make sure you save the date because handmade seller and personal friend, Mandi Cawthon of My Lovies has been creating items at full speed in preparation for this event. The best part: She's giving all MOV readers a 10% discount at the show! She's also donated items for the 20 Swag Bags that will be given away to the first to arrive! (Miss Ohio did too, so get there early, sweets.)

To stay true to the Miss Ohio way (it exists), we've asked Mandi a series of completely irrelevant questions. We asked her some important ones too, so you can stay informed, but you have to read these first.
What is your best selling item?
"Lockets...so romantic!"
What do you wish was your best selling item and why?
"Skeleton Key Necklaces...I love to imagine what doors they once opened, plus the vintage keys make super cute jewelry."
What is the most unusual item you've created?
"My Message In A Bottle Necklace is pretty unusual."
Are you happy or pouty pants when your favorite items sell to good homes?
"Haha, I'm usually pouty pants, especially if it was a OOAK. But them I'm happy to be one step closer to success!"
Paul Newman or Marlon Brando?
Marlon Brando...GUYS & DOLLS!
Golden Girls or Designing Women?
Golden Girls :)
What's your ideal sandwich?
Bacon Turkey Bravo on Tomato Basil Bread
If you had to create a piece using Betty White as your muse, what would it be?
I'd make a cute little pearl number!
Well that's just fantastic, Mandi, although personally I'm a Designing Women kinda gal. I guess we can look past our differences and move on to the important stuff. (Besides, Damon Runyon is my favorite, so I'll forgive that mishap on behalf of your Guys & Dolls reference.)

Mandi's My Lovies are created with the purest intentions, "It's just something I enjoy doing... not sure I have a specific goal in mind. I'd like to eventually sell in a variety of boutiques and shops!" Mandi also hopes to, and believes she will, open her own store someday. For now, she sells her pieces at the Laumeier Museum Shop, so next time you visit the park make sure you stop in to see some of her gorgeous jewelry!
Now that you can't help but buy all her fab stuff, find an outlet and do it to it. You can find My Lovies at Laumeier Sculpture Park's Museum Shop, online on her Etsy store or at upcoming indie craft shows, including our beloved Not Your Grandmas Craft Fair.
Miss Ohio is making an appearance at this show as well - how could we not?
We'll have all of our summer items with us including many pieces from the last shoot. And I guess we'll bring a taste of our fall line as well, which doesn't even hit the store until June. If you want to get your hands on some really great pieces before everyone else sees them, this is your chance!

And as usual, we'll be signing models, street team members and giving away discounts and gift certificates. If you sign up for a trunk show at this craft fair we'll even give you free wine for up to ten people! We won't hold you to a commitment until you set a date.
So make it out, or risk hurting our feelings beyond repair. (Just kidding, we'll get over it... No we won't.)

Among the other fantastic vendors, we'll see a few pieces from Sarah Mathenia at Oh Sweet Darling who you may remember from our first Handmade Spotlight. Make sure you take a peak at Not Your Grandma's BLOG too. Follow them and tell your friends. That's what the Share button is for, after all.
Don't forget the important stuff:

As Jillian says, "Stay hip! Just don't break one."
